HelloWeHire

Redesigning the product interface and restructuring the hiring workflow to support automated candidate screening.

An early-stage startup approached me with a prototype of an AI-assisted recruiting platform. The product existed as a functional prototype, but the interface and workflow had not yet been structured into a coherent product experience.

The system aimed to automate candidate screening and interview preparation, yet the interface relied heavily on forms and required recruiters to manually review and approve nearly every step of the process.

I redesigned the core product interface across the main screens and restructured the hiring workflow. Forms were simplified, key steps reorganized, and the interaction model adjusted to better reflect the level of automation the product was designed to deliver.

In the redesigned flow, AI handles the early stages of candidate screening, prepares interview questions, and structures candidate responses. Recruiters only step in once a candidate reaches the final stage and requires a personal conversation.

The result was a clearer, more modern interface and a workflow that significantly reduced manual effort while making the automation understandable and easy to manage.
